How to log in to Citibank Online Internet Banking for the first time?

You have to create your profile including user ID and password. Read our short manual about first registration here.

How much does the SMS Key cost?

You pay no fees for the one-time codes sent to your mobile phone.

What is the difference between an SMS Key and a Personal Key?

A SMS key is better for you if you require easy use and keep your mobile phone always at hand.

A Personal Key is a better choice if you prefer a more conservative approach, with an additional layer of protection in the form of an authentication calculator, further protected by its own PIN code.

How do I activate an SMS Key?

SMS keys do not have to be activated and may be used to log into your account in Citibank Online internet banking immediately. If you are not sure what telephone number you have provided when applying for a Citibank product, please verify and update your information with the help of a phone banker at 233 062 222.

May I use an SMS Key if I already own a Personal Key?

Yes. If you already own a Personal Key, you may keep it and start using SMS keys, or use both. Both keys are mutually interchangeable and independent of each other.

How to orientate in your new Internet banking?

We have prepared detailed manual with clear description of all functions. For a transparent users manual with step by step description click here.

Do I need to install any special software on my program in order to use Citibank Online?

No, all you need is a computer with an Internet connection and the browser MS Internet Explorer version 5.5 or higher or Netscape Navigator version 7.0 or higher.

How can I make the access to Citibank Online faster?

Add the page that you use to log onto Citibank Online to your list of Favorites or Bookmarks. It will be even faster if you make the Citibank Online webpage your home page, i.e. the page that is shown first when you open your Internet browser.

Moving between screens and requested transactions take longer than normal surfing of the Internet. Why?

There are a range of factors that affect the speed of the Citibank Online application. For example, it could be due to a slow modem, an overloaded network or problems with your Internet service provider. Also, for security, all data sent through Citibank Online is encoded with the most advanced 128 bit technology. This approach dramatically increases the volume of the data sent through the system and thus the application may then be slower.

Is it possible to cancel a transaction?

Transactions, which have been accepted by the system, cannot be cancelled. If you input a transaction to be executed in the future (for example, a standing order, payment approval, direct debit or SIPO payment), then it can be changed, cancelled or temporarily suspended *.

* If you make a mistake and would need to cancel a payment, please contact CitiPhone.
I wan to send Czech crowns to a bank abroad. Should I make this transaction as a domestic or foreign payment?
This transaction is possible to be made as a foreign payment. Domestic payments are used only for sending Czech crowns between banks registered in the Czech Republic . By the term ‘Czech banks’, we also mean Czech branches of foreign banks. A foreign payment is any payment made in a foreign currency (to a bank in the Czech Republic or abroad) and a payment in Czech Crowns abroad.
When will a financial transfer, such as a domestic payment, be processed?
After inputting and confirmation, transactions are irrevocability recorded into the system, immediately processed and booked on the account. If the transaction is received before the “end of the day” for the relevant financial transfer, it is sent for clearing to the ČNB immediately at the “end of the day” for processing. If the transaction is received after the “end of the day”, it is sent for processing the following working day.
